About Us

The Global PFAS Science Panel is a collaborative partnership among academic researchers, regulatory scientists, and policy analysts dedicated to enhancing understanding of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and to protecting human and environmental health from potentially adverse effects associated with PFAS through better informed decision-making.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to foster development of high-quality scientific research, steward information exchange, and coordinate advancement of science and policy to address the class of PFAS as a global concern. We are facilitating international collaboration among scientists, policymakers, and stakeholders. We collaborate to:

  1. collect and synthesize information on PFAS persistence, mobility, bioaccumulation, exposure, biomonitoring, and toxicity;

  2. coordinate scientific inputs for policy processes;

  3. identify research priorities;

  4. advance science and policy to address the class of PFAS as a global concern;

  5. work toward the global phase-out of non-essential uses of PFASs.
